RIGHT AND WRONG TRUST
Mr 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus
answers again, and said to them, Children, how hard is it for them that
trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
Lu 18:9 And he spoke this parable to certain which trusted in
themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
Acts 14:3 Long time therefore stayed they speaking boldly in the
Lord, which gave testimony to the word of his grace, and granted signs and
wonders to be done by their hands.
2 Cor 1:8 For we would not, brothers, have you ignorant of our
trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above
strength, so that we despaired even of life:
9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in
ourselves, but in God which raises the dead:
3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
Php 3:4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any
other man thinks that he has whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of
Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which
is in the law, blameless.
7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
1 Tim 4:10 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust
in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, specially of those that
believe.
6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded,
nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly
all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute,
willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to
come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
De 28:52 And he shall besiege you in all your gates, until your high
and fenced walls come down, wherein you trusted, throughout all your land:
and he shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which
the LORD your God has given you.
Job 31:24 If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold,
You are my confidence;
25 If I rejoice because my wealth was great, and because my hand had gotten
much;
Ps 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will
remember the name of the LORD our God.
22:4 Our fathers trusted in you: they trusted, and you did deliver them.
5 They cried to you, and were delivered: they trusted in you, and were not
confounded.
44:6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
7 But you have saved us from our enemies, and have put them to shame that
hated us.
49:6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude
of their riches;
7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom
for him:
52:7 See, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the
abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy
of God for ever and ever.
62:10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches
increase, set not your heart on them.
118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is
no help.
4 His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his
thoughts perish.
Pr 3:26 For the LORD shall be your confidence, and shall keep your
foot from being taken.
11:28 He that trusts in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall
flourish as a branch.
18:11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his
own conceit.
28:25 He that is of a proud heart stirs up strife: but he that puts his
trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
26 He that trusts in his own heart is a fool: but whoever walks wisely, he
shall be delivered.
29:25 The fear of man brings a snare: but whoever puts his trust in the LORD
shall be safe.
Isa 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, said the LORD, that take
counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit,
that they may add sin to sin:
2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to
strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow
of Egypt!
3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in
the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
30:12 Why thus said the Holy One of Israel, Because you despise this word,
and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall,
swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly at an instant.
14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is
broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in
the bursting of it a shard to take fire from the hearth, or to take water
with out of the pit.
15 For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest
shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:
and you would not.
31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and
trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are
very strong; but they look not to the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the
LORD!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words:
but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of
them that work iniquity.
3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not
spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helps shall
fall, and he that is helped shall fall down, and they all shall fail
together.
47:10 For you have trusted in your wickedness: you have said, None sees me.
Your wisdom and your knowledge, it has perverted you; and you have said in
your heart, I am, and none else beside me.
11 Therefore shall evil come on you; you shall not know from where it rises:
and mischief shall fall on you; you shall not be able to put it off: and
desolation shall come on you suddenly, which you shall not know.
50:10 Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of his
servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name
of the LORD, and stay on his God.
57:12 I will declare your righteousness, and your works; for they shall not
profit you.
13 When you cry, let your companies deliver you; but the wind shall carry
them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that puts his trust in me
shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
Jer 5:17 And they shall eat up your harvest, and your bread, which
your sons and your daughters should eat: they shall eat up your flocks and
your herds: they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees: they shall
impoverish your fenced cities, wherein you trusted, with the sword.
7:3 Thus said the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your
doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.

wind of the wilderness.

because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.

live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his
righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he has
committed, he shall die for it.
Dan 9:18 O my God, incline your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and
behold our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do
not present our supplications before you for our righteousnesses, but for
your great mercies.
