FORGIVING
Mt 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For your is
the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also
forgive you:
15 But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father
forgive your trespasses.
18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin
against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus said to him, I say not to you, Until seven times: but, Until
seventy times seven.
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened to a certain king, which would
take account of his servants.
24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought to him, which owed him
ten thousand talents.
25 But for as much as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold,
and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have
patience with me, and I will pay you all.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him,
and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants,
which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by
the throat, saying, Pay me that you owe.
29 And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and sought him, saying,
Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.
30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay
the debt.
31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and
came and told to their lord all that was done.
32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said to him, O you wicked
servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you desired me:
33 Should not you also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I
had pity on you?
34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he
should pay all that was due to him.
35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also to you, if you from your
hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Mr 11:25 And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought
against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your
trespasses.
Lu 6:36 Be you therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be
condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:
17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If your brother trespass against you, rebuke
him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 And if he trespass against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a
day turn again to you, saying, I repent; you shall forgive him.
23:33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there
they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the
other on the left.
34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Acts 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling on God, and saying, Lord
Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin
to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give
place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, said the
Lord.
20 Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:
for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
1 Cor 13:4 Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not;
charity braggs not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinks no evil;
2 Cor 2:10 To whom you forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I
forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the
person of Christ;
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his
devices.
Eph 4:26 Be you angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your
wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking,
be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.
Col 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any
man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.
Heb 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God;
lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be
defiled;
Jas 2:12 So speak you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the
law of liberty.
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and
mercy rejoices against judgment.
1 Pe 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:
for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the
garment spotted by the flesh.
Pr 10:12 Hatred stirs up strifes: but love covers all sins.
17:9 He that covers a transgression seeks love; but he that repeats a matter
separates very friends.
19:11 The discretion of a man defers his anger; and it is his glory to pass
over a transgression.
19:22 The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a
liar.
Hos 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of
God more than burnt offerings.
Zec 7:9 Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment,
and show mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
