GUIDANCE

Mt 2:12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appears to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be you there until I bring you word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

2:19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appears in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.
21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things soever he does, these also does the Son likewise.

10:2 But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
6 This parable spoke Jesus to them: but they understood not what things they were which he spoke to them.

10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

16:12 I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
13 However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

18:37 Pilate therefore said to him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.

Ac 8:26 And the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, which is desert.
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, Go near, and join yourself to this chariot.
30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understand you what you read?

9:10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11 And the Lord said to him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prays,
12 And has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,
7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.
8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas.
9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel to them.

18:9 Then spoke the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not your peace:
10 For I am with you, and no man shall set on you to hurt you: for I have much people in this city.

21:4 And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
10 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.
11 And when he was come to us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus said the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that ownes this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
12 And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, sought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
13 Then Paul answered, What mean you to weep and to break my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

Ro 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1 Co 14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
30 If any thing be revealed to another that sits by, let the first hold his peace.
31 For you may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Ga 2:1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

Re 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things said he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens;
8 I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name.

Ge 24:26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.
27 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who has not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brothers.

37:5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brothers: and they hated him yet the more.
6 And he said to them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, see, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
8 And his brothers said to him, Shall you indeed reign over us? or shall you indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brothers, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
10 And he told it to his father, and to his brothers: and his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow down ourselves to you to the earth?
11 And his brothers envied him; but his father observed the saying.

40:7 And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Why look you so sadly to day?
8 And they said to him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said to them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

41:7 And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.
8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them to Pharaoh.
9 Then spoke the chief butler to Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:
10 Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker:
11 And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.
12 And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.
13 And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored to my office, and him he hanged.
14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in to Pharaoh.
15 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it.
16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

46:2 And God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 And he said, I am God, the God of your father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of you a great nation:
4 I will go down with you into Egypt; and I will also surely bring you up again: and Joseph shall put his hand on your eyes.

50:24 And Joseph said to his brothers, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

Ex 13:17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

15:13 You in your mercy have led forth the people which you have redeemed: you have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation.

Nu 12:6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream.

14:39 And Moses told these sayings to all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.
40 And they rose up early in the morning, and got them up into the top of the mountain, saying, See, we be here, and will go up to the place which the LORD has promised: for we have sinned.
41 And Moses said, Why now do you transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.
42 Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that you be not smitten before your enemies.
43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and you shall fall by the sword: because you are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.
44 But they presumed to go up to the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.
45 Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelled in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even to Hormah.

De 1:41 Then you answered and said to me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when you had girded on every man his weapons of war, you were ready to go up into the hill.
42 And the LORD said to me, Say to them. Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest you be smitten before your enemies.
43 So I spoke to you; and you would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill.
44 And the Amorites, which dwelled in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even to Hormah.

Jud 6:36 And Gideon said to God, If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said,
37 Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry on all the earth beside, then shall I know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said.
38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.
39 And Gideon said to God, Let not your anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray you, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.
40 And God did so that night: for it was dry on the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.

1 Sa 28:6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

2 Sa 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
33 God is my strength and power: and he makes my way perfect.

Job 22:25 Yes, the Almighty shall be your defense, and you shall have plenty of silver.
26 For then shall you have your delight in the Almighty, and shall lift up your face to God.
27 You shall make your prayer to him, and he shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows.
28 You shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established to you: and the light shall shine on your ways.
29 When men are cast down, then you shall say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

33:14 For God speaks once, yes twice, yet man perceives it not.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumberings on the bed;
16 Then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction,

Ps 5:8 Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before my face.

23:2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

25:4 Show me your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths.
5 Lead me in your truth, and teach me: for you are the God of my salvation; on you do I wait all the day.
8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

25:12 What man is he that fears the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

27:11 Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.

31:3 For you are my rock and my fortress; therefore for your name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.

37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

43:3 O send out your light and your truth: let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill, and to your tabernacles.

48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even to death.

139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

143:8 Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning; for in you do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul to you.
10 Teach me to do your will; for you are my God: your spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

Pv 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to your navel, and marrow to your bones.

4:11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths.

4:26 Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove your foot from evil.

10:17 He is in the way of life that keeps instruction: but he that refuses reproof errs.

10:29 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

11:5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that listens to counsel is wise.

13:6 Righteousness keeps him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthrows the sinner.

13:10 Only by pride comes contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

15:22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weighs the spirits.
3 Commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.

16:9 A man’s heart devises his way: but the LORD directs his steps.

19:2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hastens with his feet sins.

19:14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end.
21 There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

20:18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.

20:24 Man’s goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?

21:11 When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.

23:19 Hear you, my son, and be wise, and guide your heart in the way.

24:6 For by wise counsel you shall make your war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

24:27 Prepare your work without, and make it fit for yourself in the field; and afterwards build your house.

28:18 Whoever walks uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

28:26 He that trusts in his own heart is a fool: but whoever walks wisely, he shall be delivered.

Ec 10:2 A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.

Isa 26:7 The way of the just is uprightness: you, most upright, do weigh the path of the just.

42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do to them, and not forsake them.

48:17 Thus said the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD your God which teaches you to profit, which leads you by the way that you should go.
18 O that you had listened to my commandments! then had your peace been as a river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea

49:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

50:4 The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as the learned.
5 The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

57:18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.

58:11 And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

63:14 As a beast goes down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so did you lead your people, to make yourself a glorious name.

Jer 2:6 Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelled?

10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps.

23:28 The prophet that has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that has my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? said the LORD.

31:9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Dan 1:17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

5:11 There is a man in your kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar your father, the king, I say, your father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;
12 For as much as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and showing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.

Joe 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Mic 2:13 The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.
