SPIRITUAL DRESSING
Mt 22:11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a
man which had not on a wedding garment:
12 And he said to him, Friend, how came you in here not having a wedding
garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him
away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing
of teeth.
Lu 15:21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against
heaven, and in your sight, and am no more worthy to be called your son.
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put
it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 And bring here the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.
And they began to be merry.
Rom 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us
therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of
light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not
in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put you on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the
flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.
Gal 3:26 For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Eph 4:24 And that you put on the new man, which after God is created
in righteousness and true holiness.
6:10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his
might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the
wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Why take to you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand
in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on
the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God:
Col 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old
man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the
image of him that created him:
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of
mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of
perfection.
1 Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the
breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1 Pe 5:5 Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes,
all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God
resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
Rev 3:4 You have a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled
their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will
not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name
before my Father, and before his angels.
3:17 Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of
nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and
blind, and naked:
18 I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich;
and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your
nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may
see.
7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying to me, What are these which are
arrayed in white robes? and from where came they?
14 And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they which
came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them
white in the blood of the Lamb.
16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his
garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of
the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and
white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
19:4 And the armies which were in heaven followed him on white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Job 29:14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was
as a robe and a diadem.
Ps 132:8 Arise, O LORD, into your rest; you, and the ark of your
strength.
9 Let your priests be clothed with righteousness; and let your saints shout
for joy.
Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful
in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has
covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself
with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Zec 3:1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the
angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
2 And the LORD said to Satan, The LORD rebuke you, O Satan; even the LORD
that has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you: is not this a brand plucked out of the
fire?
3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4 And he answered and spoke to those that stood before him, saying, Take
away the filthy garments from him. And to him he said, Behold, I have caused
your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair turban on his head. So they set a fair
turban on his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD
stood by.
