THE OBJECT OF FAITH IS JESUS
Mt 18:4 Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the
same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me.
6 But whoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it
were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he
were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Joh 1:11 He came to his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on his name:
2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested
forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
2:22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered
that he had said this to them; and they believed the scripture, and the word
which Jesus had said.
3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is
condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God.
3:36 He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes
not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God stays on him.
5:37 And the Father himself, which has sent me, has borne witness of me. You
have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
38 And you have not his word abiding in you: for whom he has sent, him you
believe not.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and
they are they which testify of me.
40 And you will not come to me, that you might have life.
5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that
accuses you, even Moses, in whom you trust.
46 For had you believed Moses, you would have believed me; for he wrote of
me.
47 But if you believe not his writings, how shall you believe my words?
6:28 Then said they to him, What shall we do, that we might work the works
of God?
29 Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you
believe on him whom he has sent.
6:35 And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me
shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.
6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the
Son, and believes on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up
at the last day.
6:67 Then said Jesus to the twelve, Will you also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have the
words of eternal life.
69 And we believe and are sure that you are that Christ, the Son of the
living God.
7:31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ comes,
will he do more miracles than these which this man has done?
7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried,
saying, If any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink.
38 He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall
flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should
receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not
yet glorified.)
8:23 And he said to them, You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of
this world; I am not of this world.
24 I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you
believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sins.
8:28 Then said Jesus to them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then
shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my
Father has taught me, I speak these things.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I
do always those things that please him.
30 As he spoke these words, many believed on him.
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in
my word, then are you my disciples indeed;
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
9:35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he
said to him, Do you believe on the Son of God?
36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37 And Jesus said to him, You have both seen him, and it is he that talks
with you.
38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
11:25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that
believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believe you this?
27 She said to him, Yes, Lord: I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of
God, which should come into the world.
11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things
which Jesus did, believed on him.
46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what
things Jesus had done.
47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said,
What do we? for this man does many miracles.
48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans
shall come and take away both our place and nation.
12:10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to
death;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on
Jesus.
12:36 While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the
children of light. These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and did hide
himself from them.
37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed
not on him:
38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke,
Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been
revealed?
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
40 He has blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not
see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and
I should heal them.
41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
12:42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but
because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put
out of the synagogue:
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
12:44 Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but
on him that sent me.
45 And he that sees me sees him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whoever believes on me should not
abide in darkness.
14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.
17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe
on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that
they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent
me.
20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples,
which are not written in this book:
31 But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ,
the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his name.
Acts 8:5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ
to them.
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom
of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whoever
believes in him shall receive remission of sins.
11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed
baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
17 For as much then as God gave them the like gift as he did to us, who
believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
13:38 Be it known to you therefore, men and brothers, that through this man
is preached to you the forgiveness of sins:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you
could not be justified by the law of Moses.
15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we
shall be saved, even as they.
16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved,
and your house.
19:4 Then said Paul, John truly baptized with the baptism of repentance,
saying to the people, that they should believe on him which should come
after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward
God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
24:24 And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which
was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come,
Felix trembled, and answered, Go your way for this time; when I have a
convenient season, I will call for you.
26:17 Delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom now I
send you,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the
power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and
inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested,
being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ to all
and on all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in
Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood,
to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past,
through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just,
and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus.
5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ:
10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that
believes.
10:9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall
believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be
saved.
10 For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made to salvation.
1 Cor 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your
faith is also vain.
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins.
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by
the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we
might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law:
for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ
lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith
of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
3:22 But the scripture has concluded all under sin, that the promise by
faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
3:26 For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Eph 1:15 Why I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love
to all the saints,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our
Lord:
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Php 1:29 For to you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe
on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
30 Having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
Col 1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
praying always for you,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you
have to all the saints,
2:4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit,
rejoicing and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in
Christ.
6 As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk you in him:
7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as you have been
taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ
might show forth all long-suffering, for a pattern to them which should
hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
2 Tim 3:14 But continue you in the things which you have learned and have
been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;
15 And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able
to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Phm 1:4 I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers,
5 Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and
toward all saints;
Heb 12:2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the
joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is
set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jas 2:1 My brothers, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord
of glory, with respect of persons.
1 Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold
that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found to praise and
honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you see him not, yet
believing, you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
1 Joh 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name
of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one
that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him.
5:5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is
the Son of God?
5:10 He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself: he that
believes not God has made him a liar; because he believes not the record
that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this
life is in his Son.
12 He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not
life.
13 These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of
God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe
on the name of the Son of God.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the
commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
LOOKING AT JESUS IN SALVATION
Joh 1:29 The next day John sees Jesus coming to him, and said, Behold the
Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.
1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
36 And looking on Jesus as he walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of God!
37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
Gal 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey
the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been evidently set forth,
crucified among you?
Heb 3:1 Why, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the
Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in
all his house.
12:1 Why seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of
witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily
beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set
down at the right hand of the throne of God.
