Mt 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Acts 26:20 But showed first to them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and
throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they
should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
Rom 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your
flesh: for as you have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to
iniquity to iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to
righteousness to holiness.
20 For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had you then in those things whereof you are now ashamed? for
the end of those things is death.
11:30 For as you in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained
mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they
also may obtain mercy.
1 Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are
sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the
Spirit of our God.
Eph 2:1 And you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works
in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of
our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by
nature the children of wrath, even as others.
5:8 For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk
as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth;)
Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by
wicked works, yet now has he reconciled
3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are on the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness,
which is idolatry:
6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of
disobedience:
7 In the which you also walked some time, when you lived in them.
Tit 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived,
serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and
hating one another.
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his
mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy
Ghost;
1 Pe 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the
former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which has called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of
conversation;
4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the
lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have worked the will of
the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine,
revelings, parties, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that you run not with them to the same
excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the
dead.
CHANGE IN PAUL
Acts 8:1 And Saul was consenting to his death. And at that time there was a
great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were
all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except
the apostles.
2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation
over him.
3 As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and
haling men and women committed them to prison.
9:1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the
disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,
20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I
ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
24:5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition
among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the
Nazarenes:
26:1 Then Agrippa said to Paul, You are permitted to speak for yourself.
Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this
day before you touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
3 Especially because I know you to be expert in all customs and questions
which are among the Jews: why I beseech you to hear me patiently.
4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among my own
nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the
most strait sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
9 I truly thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to
the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up
in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they
were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to
blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even to
strange cities.
1 Cor 4:11 Even to this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are
naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;
12 And labor, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being
persecuted, we suffer it:
13 Being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are
the offscouring of all things to this day.
14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.
15 For though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have you not
many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
16 Why I beseech you, be you followers of me.
17 For this cause have I sent to you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and
faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which
be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
11:1 Be you followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an
apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed
on me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not
I, but the grace of God which was with me.
2 Cor 2:4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you
with many tears; not that you should be grieved, but that you might know the
love which I have more abundantly to you.
10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ,
who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
9 That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily
presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
11 Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when
we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with
some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves,
and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
12:14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be
burdensome to you: for I seek not your’s but you: for the children ought not
to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more
abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.
16 But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught
you with guile.
17 Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent to you?
18 I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of
you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
Php 3:17 Brothers, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so
as you have us for an ensample.
4:9 Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and
seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
1 Tim 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, for that
he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I
obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love
which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ
might show forth all long-suffering, for a pattern to them which should
hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
2 Tim 3:10 But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose,
faith, long-suffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at
Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered
me.
4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at
hand.
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the
faith:
