TRUTH
Mt 22:16 And they sent out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying,
Master, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God in truth,
neither care you for any man: for you regard not the person of men.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace
and truth.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
3:21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made
manifest, that they are worked in God.
4:23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship
the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and
in truth.
5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
32 There is another that bears witness of me; and I know that the witness
which he witnesses of me is true.
33 You sent to John, and he bore witness to the truth.
34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that you
might be saved.
8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in
my word, then are you my disciples indeed;
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
8:40 But now you seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth, which I
have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
44 You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will
do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and stayed not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own:
for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, you believe me not.
46 Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do you not
believe me?
10:41 And many resorted to him, and said, John did no miracle: but all
things that John spoke of this man were true.
42 And many believed on him there.
14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes
to the Father, but by me.
14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,
that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees
him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and
shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the
Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall
testify of me:
16:13 However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into
all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear,
that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
17:17 Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.
18 As you have sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into
the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified
through the truth.
18:37 Pilate therefore said to him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You
say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into
the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the
truth hears my voice.
38 Pilate said to him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out
again to the Jews, and said to them, I find in him no fault at all.
19:35 And he that saw it bore record, and his record is true: and he knows
that he said true, that you might believe.
Acts 26:24 And as he thus spoke for himself, Festus said with a loud voice,
Paul, you are beside yourself; much learning does make you mad.
25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words
of truth and soberness.
26 For the king knows of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for
I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing
was not done in a corner.
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness;
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the
creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
2:8 But to them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey
unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew
first, and also of the Gentile;
10 But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew
first, and also to the Gentile:
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
3:7 For if the truth of God has more abounded through my lie to his glory;
why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that
we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the
truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers:
1 Cor 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with
the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of
sincerity and truth.
13:6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
2 Cor 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy,
we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in
craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation
of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of
God.
6:3 Giving no offense in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much
patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in
fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long-suffering, by kindness, by the Holy
Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness
on the right hand and on the left,
8 By honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and
yet true;
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as
chastened, and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as
having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
11:10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting
in the regions of Achaia.
13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
Gal 2:44 And that because of false brothers unawares brought in, who came in
privately to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they
might bring us into bondage:
5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth
of the gospel might continue with you.
2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of
the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, If you, being a Jew, live after
the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compel you the Gentiles
to live as do the Jews?
4:15 Where is then the blessedness you spoke of? for I bear you record, that,
if it had been possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes, and have
given them to me.
16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
5:7 You did run well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion comes not of him that calls you.
9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
Eph 1:13 In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were
sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
4:14 That we from now on be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which
is the head, even Christ:
4:20 But you have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the
truth is in Jesus:
22 That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is
corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness.
25 Why putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we
are members one of another.
5:8 For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk
as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth;)
6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on
the breastplate of righteousness;
Php 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense, or in
truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are
lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if
there be any praise, think on these things.
Col 1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof you heard
before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6 Which is come to you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit,
as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of
God in truth:
2 Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power
and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all delusion of unrighteousness in them that perish; because
they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should
believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had
pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brothers beloved
of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation
through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
1 Tim 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the
truth.
2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth
in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
3:14 These things write I to you, hoping to come to you shortly:
15 But if I tarry long, that you may know how you ought to behave yourself
in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and
ground of the truth.
4:1 Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall
depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of
devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot
iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God has
created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the
truth.
6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth,
supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw yourself.
2 Tim 2:15 Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not
to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2:17 And their word will eat as does a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and
Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past
already; and overthrow the faith of some.
2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle to all men,
apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure
will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who
are taken captive by him at his will.
3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive
silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the
truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but
after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching
ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned to
fables.
Tit 1:1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to
the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after
godliness;
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the
world began;
1:12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are
always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
13 This witness is true. Why rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in
the faith;
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from
the truth.
Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge
of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
which shall devour the adversaries.
Jas 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should
be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
3:14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not,
and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
5:19 Brothers, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
20 Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way
shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
1 Pe 1:22 Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through
the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, see that you love one another
with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the
word of God, which lives and stays for ever.
2 Pe 1:12 Why I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of
these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth.
2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall
be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies,
even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring on themselves swift
destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of
truth shall be evil spoken of.
1 Joh 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness,
we lie, and do not the truth:
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not
in us.
2:4 He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and
the truth is not in him.
2:21 I have not written to you because you know not the truth, but because
you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is
antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.
3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in
deed and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts
before him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all
things.
4:6 We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears
not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water
only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness,
because the Spirit is truth.
2 Joh 1:1 The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the
truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
2 For the truth’s sake, which dwells in us, and shall be with us for ever.
3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the
Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of your children walking in truth, as we
have received a commandment from the Father.
3 Joh 1:1 The elder to the well beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health,
even as your soul prospers.
3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brothers came and testified of the truth
that is in you, even as you walk in the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
12 Demetrius has good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yes, and
we also bear record; and you know that our record is true.
Ps 40:10 I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared
your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your loving
kindness and your truth from the great congregation.
11 Withhold not you your tender mercies from me, O LORD: let your loving
kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
51:6 Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part
you shall make me to know wisdom.
86:11 Teach me your way, O LORD; I will walk in your truth: unite my heart
to fear your name.
119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is
the truth.
160 Your word is true from the beginning: and every one of your righteous
judgments endures for ever.
Pr 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and
understanding.
Isa 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice stands afar off:
for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
15 Yes, truth fails; and he that departs from evil makes himself a prey: and
the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
Dan 10:21 But I will show you that which is noted in the scripture of truth:
and there is none that holds with me in these things, but Michael your
prince.
Zec 8:16 These are the things that you shall do; Speak you every man the
truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your
gates:
18 And the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,
19 Thus said the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast
of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall
be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore
love the truth and peace.
