PEACE
Mt 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of
God.
10:11 And into whatever city or town you shall enter, inquire who in it is
worthy; and there abide till you go there.
12 And when you come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come on it: but if it be not
worthy, let your peace return to you.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send
peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in
law.
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
11:28 Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest.
29 Take my yoke on you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and you shall find rest to your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Mr 9:49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall
be salted with salt.
50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltiness, with which will
you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Lu 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly
host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
7:50 And he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.
10:5 And into whatever house you enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
6 And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest on it: if not, it
shall turn to you again.
14:31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sits not down
first, and consults whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that
comes against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an ambassador,
and desires conditions of peace.
24:36 And as they thus spoke, Jesus himself stood in the middle of them, and
said to them, Peace be to you.
Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world
gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid.
16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In
the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome
the world.
20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when
the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews,
came Jesus and stood in the middle, and said to them, Peace be to you.
20 And when he had so said, he showed to them his hands and his side. Then
were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be to you: as my Father has sent me,
even so send I you.
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with
them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the middle, and
said, Peace be to you.
Acts 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and
Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the
comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
10:36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace by
Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
Rom 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace
to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2:10 But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew
first, and also to the Gentile:
3:15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ:
8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life
and peace.
12:18 If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men.
14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and
peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serves Christ is acceptable to God, and
approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things
with which one may edify another.
15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that
you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
1 Cor 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a
sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God has called us to peace.
14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches
of the saints.
2 Cor 7:5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but
we were troubled on every side; without were fights, within were fears.
6 Nevertheless God, that comforts those that are cast down, comforted us by
the coming of Titus;
13:11 Finally, brothers, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one
mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy,
and on the Israel of God.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the
middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments
contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of two one new man, so
making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having
slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that
were near.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
4:3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Php 1:2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord
Jesus Christ.
4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are
lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if
there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and
seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to
reconcile all things to himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in
earth, or things in heaven.
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked
works, yet now has he reconciled
3:14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of
perfection.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also you are
called in one body; and be you thankful.
1 Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction
comes on them, as travail on a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at
peace among yourselves.
5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your
whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless to the coming of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it.
2 Th 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means.
The Lord be with you all.
1 Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and
peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
2 Tim 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith,
charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man
shall see the Lord:
13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus,
that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting
covenant,
Jas 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
1 Pe 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the
hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not
corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the
sight of God of great price.
3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his
tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
2 Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God,
and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power has given to us all things that pertain to
life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory
and virtue:
Jude 1:2 Mercy to you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a
bow; and a crown was given to him: and he went forth conquering, and to
conquer.
3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come
and see.
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him
that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one
another: and there was given to him a great sword.
Lev 26:6 And I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none
shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither
shall the sword go through your land.
Num 6:23 Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, On this wise you shall
bless the children of Israel, saying to them,
24 The LORD bless you, and keep you:
25 The LORD make his face shine on you, and be gracious to you:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance on you, and give you peace.
27 And they shall put my name on the children of Israel, and I will bless
them.
De 28:65 And among these nations shall you find no ease, neither shall the
sole of your foot have rest: but the LORD shall give you there a trembling
heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66 And your life shall hang in doubt before you; and you shall fear day and
night, and shall have none assurance of your life:
Judges 6:22 And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD,
Gideon said, Alas, O LORD God! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD
face to face.
23 And the LORD said to him, Peace be to you; fear not: you shall not die.
24 Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom:
to this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come on me, and that which
I was afraid of is come to me.
26 I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble
came.
14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
Ps 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, LORD, only make
me dwell in safety.
29:11 The LORD will give strength to his people; the LORD will bless his
people with peace.
34:12 What man is he that desires life, and loves many days, that he may see
good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in
the abundance of peace.
37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man
is peace.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked
shall be cut off.
42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted in me?
hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
11 Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted within me?
hope you in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my
countenance, and my God.
72:7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so
long as the moon endures.
73:12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase
in riches.
13 Truly I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence.
85:8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace to
his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
119:165 Great peace have they which love your law: and nothing shall offend
them.
122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love you.
7 Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.
8 For my brothers and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within
you.
147:12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion.
13 For he has strengthened the bars of your gates; he has blessed your
children within you.
14 He makes peace in your borders, and fills you with the finest of the
wheat.
Pr 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let your heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you.
12:20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the
counsellors of peace is joy.
16:7 When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at
peace with him.
17:1 Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of
sacrifices with strife.
Ec 3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of
peace.
Isa 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come you, and let us go up to the
mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us
of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth
the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and
they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning
hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they
learn war any more.
9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government
shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, on the
throne of David, and on his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with
judgment and with justice from now on even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of
hosts will perform this.
26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you:
because he trusts in you.
4 Trust you in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting
strength:
30:15 For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and
rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your
strength: and you would not.
16 But you said, No; for we will flee on horses; therefore shall you flee:
and, We will ride on the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be
swift.
32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of
righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure
dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
33:7 Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace
shall weep bitterly.
48:17 Thus said the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the
LORD your God which teaches you to profit, which leads you by the way that
you should go.
18 O that you had listened to my commandments! then had your peace been as a
river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea:
22 There is no peace, said the LORD, to the wicked.
52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him that brings good
tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that
publishes salvation; that said to Zion, Your God reigns!
53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes
we are healed.
54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my
kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace
be removed, said the LORD that has mercy on you.
13 And all your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the
peace of your children.
57:18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and
restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and
to him that is near, said the LORD; and I will heal him.
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose
waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 There is no peace, said my God, to the wicked.
59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood:
their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in
their paths.
8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings:
they have made them crooked paths: whoever goes therein shall not know
peace.
60:17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for
wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make your officers peace, and
your exactors righteousness.
18 Violence shall no more be heard in your land, wasting nor destruction
within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates
Praise.
66:12 For thus said the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a
river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall you
suck, you shall be borne on her sides, and be dandled on her knees.
13 As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be
comforted in Jerusalem.
Jer 6:14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people
slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? no, they were not
at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among
them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, said
the LORD.
16 Thus said the LORD, Stand you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old
paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for
your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
16:5 For thus said the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither
go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this
people, said the LORD, even loving kindness and mercies.
29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the LORD,
thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Mic 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the
house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it
shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it.
2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the
mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will
teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go
forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off;
and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into
pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither
shall they learn war any more.
4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and
none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken
it.
Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem:
behold, your King comes to you: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and
riding on an ass, and on a colt the foal of an ass.
10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from
Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace to
the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the
river even to the ends of the earth.
Mal 2:4 And you shall know that I have sent this commandment to you, that my
covenant might be with Levi, said the LORD of hosts.
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the
fear with which he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
