BUILDING
Mt 7:24 Therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will
liken him to a wise man, which built his house on a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat
on that house; and it fell not: for it was founded on a rock.
26 And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall
be likened to a foolish man, which built his house on the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat
on that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were
astonished at his doctrine:
29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
21:42 Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the scriptures, The stone
which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this
is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
Lu 14:27 And whoever does not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be
my disciple.
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sits not down first, and
counts the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish
it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank,
they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone
from heaven, and destroyed them all.
Rom 15:20 Yes, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was
named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation:
21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and
they that have not heard shall understand.
1 Cor 3:9 For we are laborers together with God: you are God’s husbandry,
you are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master
builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let
every man take heed how he builds thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus
Christ.
12 Now if any man build on this foundation gold, silver, precious stones,
wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,
because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s
work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a
reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself
shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Eph 2:19 Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow
citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus
Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together grows to an holy temple in
the Lord:
22 In whom you also are built together for an habitation of God through the
Spirit.
4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the
edifying of the body of Christ:
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which
is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that
which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the
measure of every part, makes increase of the body to the edifying of itself
in love.
Heb 3:3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch
as he who has built the house has more honor than the house.
4 For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God.
11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved
with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he
condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
11:10 For he looked for a city which has foundations, whose builder and
maker is God.
1 Pe 2:4 To whom coming, as to a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but
chosen of God, and precious,
5 You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus
Christ.
6 Why also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief
corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be
confounded.
7 To you therefore which believe he is precious: but to them which be
disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the
head of the corner,
Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the
names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Ps 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of
the corner.
23 This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in
it.
25 Save now, I beseech you, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech you, send now
prosperity.
26 Blessed be he that comes in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out
of the house of the LORD.
Isa 28:16 Therefore thus said the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a
foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure
foundation: he that believes shall not make haste.
