SALVATION AND OUR ATTITUDE
Mt 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they
shall be filled.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened to you:
8 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that
knocks it shall be opened.
11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of
heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and
prudent, and have revealed them to babes.
26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in your sight.
27 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knows the Son,
but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to
whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Mr 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said to them,
Suffer the little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such
is the kingdom of God.
15 Truly I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a
little child, he shall not enter therein.
Joh 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and said of him, Behold an
Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it
be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which
see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said
to him, Are we blind also?
41 Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you should have no sin: but now
you say, We see; therefore your sin remains.
Acts 17:10 And the brothers immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night to
Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received
the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily,
whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honorable women which were
Greeks, and of men, not a few.
Rom 2:4 Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and
long-suffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
5 But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasure up to yourself wrath
against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but
condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
1 Cor 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but to us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring
to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this
world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it
pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the
Greeks foolishness;
24 But to them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of
God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God
is stronger than men.
2:14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for
they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are
spiritually discerned.
3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in
this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written,
He takes the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
2 Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
6:11 O you Corinthians, our mouth is open to you, our heart is enlarged.
12 You are not straitened in us, but you are straitened in your own bowels.
13 Now for a recompense in the same, (I speak as to my children,) be you
also enlarged.
10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to
the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against
the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the
obedience of Christ;
Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after
Christ.
9 For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
1 Tim 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to your trust, avoiding
profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you.
Amen.
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God,
so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently
seek him.
Jas 4:6 But he gives more grace. Why he said, God resists the proud, but
gives grace to the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee
from you.
4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you
sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning,
and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
1 Pe 5:5 Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all of
you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists
the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may
exalt you in due time:
Ps 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in
his holy place?
4 He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul
to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
32:2 Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose
spirit there is no guile.
Ec 7:29 See, this only have I found, that God has made man upright; but they
have sought out many inventions.
Isa 57:11 And of whom have you been afraid or feared, that you have lied,
and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? have not I held my
peace even of old, and you fear me not?
Jer 9:6 Your habitation is in the middle of deceit; through deceit they
refuse to know me, said the LORD.
