THE JEWS AND GOSPEL
Mt 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go
not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter
you not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the
house of Israel.
Joh 4:19 The woman said to him, Sir, I perceive that you are a
prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and you say, that in Jerusalem
is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus said to her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when you shall
neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is
of the Jews.
Acts 3:25 You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant
which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in your seed shall
all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26 To you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you,
in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
13:23 Of this mans seed has God according to his promise raised to Israel a
Savior, Jesus:
32 And we declare to you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made
to the fathers,
13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear
the word of God.
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and
spoke against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and
blaspheming.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the
word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing you put it from
you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, see, we turn to the
Gentiles.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the
power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and
also to the Greek.
3:1 What advantage then has the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
2 Much every way: chiefly, because that to them were committed the oracles
of God.
9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me
witness in the Holy Ghost,
2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brothers, my
kinsmen according to the flesh:
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertains the adoption, and the glory, and the
covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the
promises;
5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came,
who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the
truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers:
1 Cor 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom
knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them
that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the
Greeks foolishness;
24 But to them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of
God, and the wisdom of God.
Ps 147:19 He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his judgments
to Israel.
20 He has not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have
not known them. Praise you the LORD.
