THE LAYING ON OF HANDS
Mt 19:13 Then were there brought to him little children, that he should put
his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
Mr 6:5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands on
a few sick folk, and healed them.
16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they
cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall
not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Acts 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen,
a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and
Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid
their hands on them.
8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy
Ghost was given, he offered them money,
9:10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him
said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11 And the Lord said to him, Arise, and go into the street which is called
Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus:
for, behold, he prays,
12 And has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his
hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his
hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared to you
in the way as you came, has sent me, that you might receive your sight, and
be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he
received sight immediately, and arose, and was baptized.
13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said,
Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they
sent them away.
19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and
they spoke with tongues, and prophesied.
28:8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and
of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on
him, and healed him.
1 Tim 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given you by
prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins:
keep yourself pure.
2 Tim 1:6 Why I put you in remembrance that you stir up the gift of God,
which is in you by the putting on of my hands.
Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us
go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead
works, and of faith toward God,
2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of
resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3 And this will we do, if God permit.
