TEMPORAL CARE
Mt 6:25 Therefore I say to you, Take no thought for your life, what you
shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall
put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor
gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much
better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit to his stature?
28 And why take you thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field,
how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say to you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed
like one of these.
30 Why, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to
morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O you of
little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we
drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly
Father knows that you have need of all these things.
33 But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added to you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take
thought for the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the evil thereof.
Lu 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be
overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so
that day come on you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the
whole earth.
22:35 And he said to them, When I sent you without purse, and money, and
shoes, lacked you any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the
same Lord over all is rich to all that call on him.
2 Cor 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you,
always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor: his
righteousness remains for ever.
10 Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your
food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your
righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes through
us thanksgiving to God.
Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in
glory by Christ Jesus.
1 Tim 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry
nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded,
nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly
all things to enjoy;
Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with
such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor
forsake you.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what
man shall do to me.
1 Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he
may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care on him; for he cares for you.
Ex 23:25 And you shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless your
bread, and your water; and I will take sickness away from the middle of you.
26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in your land: the
number of your days I will fulfill.
Num 11:21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred
thousand footmen; and you have said, I will give them flesh, that they may
eat a whole month.
22 Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or
shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
23 And the LORD said to Moses, Is the LORD’s hand waxed short? you shall see
now whether my word shall come to pass to you or not.
31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the
sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side,
and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and
as it were two cubits high on the face of the earth.
32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the
next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten
homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
De 2:7 For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the works of your hand:
he knows your walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the
LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.
8:17 And you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten
me this wealth.
18 But you shall remember the LORD your God: for it is he that gives you
power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to
your fathers, as it is this day.
29:5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not
waxen old on you, and your shoe is not waxen old on your foot.
6 You have not eaten bread, neither have you drunk wine or strong drink:
that you might know that I am the LORD your God.
1 Ki 17:2 And the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
3 Get you hence, and turn you eastward, and hide yourself by the brook
Cherith, that is before Jordan.
4 And it shall be, that you shall drink of the brook; and I have commanded
the ravens to feed you there.
5 So he went and did according to the word of the LORD: for he went and
dwelled by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and
flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
17:11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring
me, I pray you, a morsel of bread in your hand.
12 And she said, As the LORD your God lives, I have not a cake, but an
handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am
gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that
we may eat it, and die.
13 And Elijah said to her, Fear not; go and do as you have said: but make me
thereof a little cake first, and bring it to me, and after make for you and
for your son.
14 For thus said the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste,
neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sends rain
on the earth.
15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he,
and her house, did eat many days.
16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail,
according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by Elijah.
1 Ch 29:13 Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious
name.
14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so
willingly after this sort? for all things come of you, and of your own have
we given you.
Neh 9:21 Yes, forty years did you sustain them in the wilderness, so that
they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.
Job 5:19 He shall deliver you in six troubles: yes, in seven there shall no
evil touch you.
20 In famine he shall redeem you from death: and in war from the power of
the sword.
21 You shall be hid from the whip of the tongue: neither shall you be afraid
of destruction when it comes.
22 At destruction and famine you shall laugh: neither shall you be afraid of
the beasts of the earth.
23 For you shall be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts
of the field shall be at peace with you.
24 And you shall know that your tabernacle shall be in peace; and you shall
visit your habitation, and shall not sin.
Ps 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD
that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on them that fear him, on them that
hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waits for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts
in him.
9 O fear the LORD, you his saints: for there is no want to them that fear
him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD
shall not want any good thing.
37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and
truly you shall be fed.
4 Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of
your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to
pass.
37:19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine
they shall be satisfied.
37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous
forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
78:18 And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.
19 Yes, they spoke against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the
wilderness?
23 Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of
heaven,
24 And had rained down manna on them to eat, and had given them of the corn
of heaven.
25 Man did eat angels’ food: he sent them meat to the full.
84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and
glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusts in you.
104:27 These wait all on you; that you may give them their meat in due
season.
28 That you give them they gather: you open your hand, they are filled with
good.
107:8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his
wonderful works to the children of men!
9 For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
111:5 He has given meat to them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of
his covenant.
127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it:
except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of
sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.
136:25 Who gives food to all flesh: for his mercy endures for ever.
145:14 The LORD upholds all that fall, and raises up all those that be bowed
down.
15 The eyes of all wait on you; and you give them their meat in due season.
16 You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
146:5 Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in
the LORD his God:
6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which
keeps truth for ever:
7 Which executes judgment for the oppressed: which gives food to the hungry.
The LORD looses the prisoners:
Pr 10:3 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he
casts away the substance of the wicked.
13:25 The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the
wicked shall want.
19:23 The fear of the LORD tends to life: and he that has it shall abide
satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
28:25 He that is of a proud heart stirs up strife: but he that puts his
trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
28:27 He that gives to the poor shall not lack: but he that hides his eyes
shall have many a curse.
30:7 Two things have I required of you; deny me them not before I die:
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me:
9 Lest I be full, and deny you, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor,
and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
Ec 3:13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of
all his labor, it is the gift of God.
Isa 33:15 He that walks righteously, and speaks uprightly; he that despises
the gain of oppressions, that shakes his hands from holding of bribes, that
stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of
rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
48:21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused
the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he split the rock also, and the
waters gushed out.
